Content Automation - Getting Started

IMPORTANT: Ensure you have a Content Source already connected to Litmus Personalize Pro.

In your account, navigate to Templates and then the Content Automation tab. You can create a new template by clicking ‘+ New Template’.

Name the template and select High-resolution & Anti-Alias.

The essential part is now to connect the template to the feed of your choice by connecting the pre-connected Content Source (LINK).

Select the pre-connected Content Source from the Library. If there are a few Content Sources connected, you can filter by type (JSON, XML or CSV) or by the Content Source’s name.

You have now connected your data source:

Uploading a Background Image

If you would like to use a background image, use the Inspector in the right-hand panel to upload your image.

The template will automatically resize to the size of the image however, if you would like to adjust the size, you can do so by changing the size in the layout boxes.

Connecting the content

You can now add content blocks. To start, add a block by clicking on the ‘Add Block’ icon:

Drag the box where you want it to display in the template and use the editor box to change the style as required. Click on the Connect Source icon to connect the block to the data source:

Select the ‘Content Source’ option and then unpack the feed before selecting the field you wish to use:

You have now connected the block with the data feed.

Top Tip: When selecting your image link use the Natural Size functionality to ensure the images are the correct dimensions.

Build out the template until you have a finished template:

Top Tip: Within the Inspector, we’ve added prefixes and suffixes to the Price & Sale Price to differentiate between the prices as well as to add the currency symbol.

Use the eye icon to preview the template with the arrows allowing you to preview other positions within the feed:

Once you are happy with the template, click save. The template will now appear in the template library.

Top Tip: If you have multiple feeds for different countries and currencies, perfect one template before then duplicating and connecting the new templates to the other product feeds.

Add additional functionality or visibility rules or simply go straight to create a Content Automation Campaign.
